If you have a text that needs a new and fresh perspective from a proofreader, Diction can help you get the text completely error-free. If you want to avoid texts with linguistic or grammatical errors, we recommend that the text be proofread. An error-free text always gives the best result and communicates your message to the recipient in the best possible way. For this reason, it is always wise to proofread the text with the help of an independent party, regardless of who the recipient is. The translator who reads through your text has the target language as their mother tongue.
Diction offers various types of proofreading. First and foremost, we offer basic proofreading with a focus on correcting grammatical errors, punctuation, and spelling errors. In addition, we also offer more extensive rewriting and reformulation, where we go in and change the language and sentence structure, and where special consideration is given to the target group. This applies in principle to texts of poorer quality, where the content and message need to be made clearer. After we have received the text and proofread it, we deliver it back in two versions. One version with comments and one final, corrected version that is ready for use.

Proofreading a text involves not only finding and correcting traditional errors such as typos, spelling errors, and grammar. If it is most reasonable to change the sentence structure, we will do so. Superfluous text or inadequate formulations can weaken your message. That's why we spend a little extra time tightening up the text to ensure that the message is as clear and convincing as possible. We proofread all types of text. If the text, contrary to expectations, belongs to a field that we have little or no experience with, you will of course receive feedback on this.

All the tasks we take on are led by a project manager who is your contact person throughout the translation process.
1. Analysis phase:
In order to perform the task correctly, we need the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the various aspects of the text. A text associated with a particular industry is given to a translator with experience in that industry. An initial review of the text means that we provide a non-binding price for the assignment, as well as delivery time. After you have approved the offer, the development phase begins.
2. Development phase:
After analyzing the text, it is proofread, and any changes are made according to established procedures. Based on this analysis, it is ensured that the terminology and the degree of formality are consistent and coherent throughout the text. This is the phase where the text is corrected for spelling errors, typing errors, punctuation errors, grammatical errors, etc. In addition, the text is adapted to any cultural differences. All assignments are proofread twice by the translator. To ensure the best quality, we would like as much time as possible for the task. The reason for this is that the proofreader should have the opportunity to double-check the edited text, so that any missing changes and errors are corrected, to make the text error-free and give it the impact you need.
3. Concluding phase:
When we have gone through all the phases, we evaluate the process and decide whether the text is ready to be sent to the customer. If we are satisfied with the text, it is sent to the customer, who can then use it directly. There is also the possibility of getting an additional document where you can see all the corrections that have been made, and any comments that have been added to this document.
