Diction wins a translation contract worth 8 million euros and becomes a supplier for the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.

The translation agency Diction will translate, proofread, and transcribe for the 1,800 employees at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. The contract has a value of 8 million euros, and the collaboration started already in the first half of 2024, with a duration of four years.

Translation of scientific texts in an international academic environment

The Western Norway University of Applied Sciences is part of national and international academic communities where a large proportion of scientific texts, such as research articles, doctoral theses, master's theses, and research materials, must be translated from Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk) to English and vice versa. In addition, Diction covers translations into Spanish, French, and German. The contract was awarded based on quality, competence, and experience, and Diction was identified as the best language provider among four actors who participated in the tender.

A decisive step to become a permanent part of the Norwegian language market

The framework agreement is a decisive step for Diction on the way to becoming a permanent player in the Norwegian language market. Since 2016, Diction has been active in the Norwegian market and has built up a customer portfolio with a particular focus on the education and research sector.

As a result of this, Diction has assisted several Norwegian universities, including the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the University of Oslo, the University of Bergen, and Nord University.

According to Martin Boberg, the education and research sector will be a focus area for Diction in the future:
